Toronto, ON — Feb. 12, 2025 — Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) today announced it has rebranded as Canadian Soccer Media & Entertainment (CSME), introducing a new organizational identity that more clearly reflects the breadth of its role across soccer, media and partnerships within the broader Canadian soccer ecosystem.
The rebrand, first signaled in the organization’s long-term vision released in October 2025, represents a deliberate strategic evolution. It reflects CSME’s progression beyond operating primarily as a commercial agency and league operator toward a more integrated, world-first hub that connects soccer, media, storytelling, and business in service of the game’s growth in Canada.
The new identity ensures the organization’s outward expression aligns with its mandate. CSME’s model is built on a self-reinforcing growth engine — soccer as the heartbeat, media and storytelling as an amplifier, and business as the fuel — with legacy and long-term impact as meaningful outcomes. This identity strengthens the organization’s ability to support partners, including Canada Soccer, elevate the sport, and contribute to a more connected and aligned soccer environment in the country.
“Our organization has evolved significantly, and this new identity reflects that evolution with clarity and intent,” said James Johnson, Group CEO, Canadian Soccer Media & Entertainment. “When we released our long-term vision, we were clear that a new identity would be required to deliver it. CSME better captures who we are today and the role we play as a modern, ambitious, and collaborative organization focused first and foremost on advancing soccer in Canada, supported by exceptional media, strategic partnerships to align growth across the ecosystem.”
The transition to Canadian Soccer Media & Entertainment does not represent a structural change, but rather a clearer articulation of how the organization operates and creates value. It is designed to make collaboration easier, roles more understandable, and partnerships more effective.
“This is not a cosmetic change,” Johnson added. “It is a strategic reset grounded in clarity. Our intent is to be a trusted partner that helps elevate the sport by connecting leagues, fans, partners, and stories in a more coherent and impactful way.”
With unprecedented attention on the sport in Canada, the new identity positions CSME to operate with greater cohesion and confidence during a pivotal period for Canadian soccer. It also reinforces the organization’s commitment to long-term value creation, cultural relevance, and sustainable growth across the game.
CSME’s new brand marks a purposeful step forward, a clear expression of where the organization is headed and the value it intends to bring to Canadian soccer in the years ahead.
